About Miya

Miya is a freelance makeup artist in and around the greater Los Angeles area.

Her clients include:

Having worked in the beauty industry for several years, Miya decided to pursue a career in film and television. Professionally trained at Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles, Miya has been working in the industry for over 10 years.

Prior to pursuing a full time career in makeup, Miya attended American University in Washington, DC where she specialized in International Studies. The art of makeup, however, was always a passion of hers since she was young, and eventually, she made the decision to turn her passion into a full-time occupation.

Miya takes pride in being a versatile artist and enjoys all aspects of the craft. She revels in the glamour of the red carpet just as much as the gory and haunting aspects of prosthetics and monsters. She also has had the privilege to have worked in various special effects shops and has experience in mould making, casting, fabrication, and painting.

In her spare time, Miya enjoys spending time with her cat, Nux, lazing about with family, travelling, and making costumes with friends.
